Rita Scarberry Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 15, 2025, at the age of 73, Rita Scarberry of Murfreesboro, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudy Miller and Dotty Catherine Dollinger Miller; her daughter Julie Scarberry; and her siblings, Edra Eleanor Miller, Edith Yates, Elwood Miller, Lloyd Miller and Steve Miller.
She is survived by: her daughter Melody Forrester (Kenneth) of Murfreesboro, TN; her siblings, Edward Miller of Bluefield, VA, Paul Miller (Sue) of Bluefield, VA, Barry Miller (Jane) of Bluefield, VA, Ferne Martin (Phil) of Pax, WV and Jane Jenkins (Alan) of Waynesville, NC; her grandchildren, Brittany Scarberry, Kayla Moores, Jordan Moores, Ashley Moores, Cameron Moores, Jasmine King, Kassidy King, Jared Forrester and Gage Scarberry; and her great grandchildren, Audrianna Bishop and Sieanna Swann. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Woodfin Memorial Chapel (1488 Lascassas Pike, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mapleview Cemetery (411 Maple St, Smyrna, TN 37167).
