He was predeceased by: his father Ephraim Herman Brunsvold; and his wives, Mary Joan Brunsvold and Rosemary Brunsvold. He is survived by: his children, Mary Brunsvold, Steven Brunsvold (Pam), Thomas Brunsvold (Dana) and Joanne Huggins (Damian); his stepdaughter Jessica Alexander; his grandchildren, Ashley Fortner, Tyler Brunsvold, Katie Brunsvold, Trevor Brunsvold, Devin Brunsvold, Connor Huggins and Aubrey Huggins; and his sister Mary Bohnsack of Milwaukee, WI.. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren.
