He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Shortridge and Florence Shortridge; and his brother Charles Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Bea; and his children, Gary Shortridge (Cherie) of Missouri City, TX, Karen Tyson of Thompson Station, TN, Susan Reed (Brian) of Murfreesboro and Scott Shortridge (Donna) of Shelbyville, TN. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
