It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Butler Maxwell of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who passed away on August 13, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Butler and Pauline Parkinson Butler; her siblings, Ronald Butler and Peggy Butler Cochran; and her grandson Mitchell Maxwell.
She is survived by: her sons, Austin Maxwell (Claire) of Murfreesboro, TN, Tim Maxwell of Knoxville, TN, Greg Maxwell of Cookeville, TN and Scott Maxwell (Amanda) of Boynton Beach, FL. She is also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
A native of Cleveland, TN, she was the daughter of the late John and Pauline Parkinson Butler.
