With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thelma L. Wheeler of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who passed away on December 11, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Thelma had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Thelma may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George James Lizer and Nora Kern Stephens; her husband Bobby Wheeler; her daughters, Mona Pence and Teri Downey (Don); and her brother Jim Lizer (Ruth).
She is survived by: her brother Bill Stephens (Jill) of Ormond Beach; her son Kim Wheeler (Barbara) of Murfreesboro; and her son-in-law Dan Pence. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandsons.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home - Harrodsburg Rd (3421 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY 40513). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Kerr Brothers (3421 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY 40513).
