He was predeceased by: his parents, John CliLord Helton and Jennie Lawrence Delbridge Helton; and his sister Sharon Liming (Leonard) of Florida. He is survived by: his wife Regina Bass Helton of Antioch, Tennessee; his son T. Michael Helton (Melissa); his granddaughters, Jaclyn Helton (Joseph Scoggins) of Lake Junaluska, Margaret "Meg" Helton of Wilmore, Kentucky, Meredith Helton of Murfreesboro and Eliza Helton of Antwerp, Belgium; his great grandchild Rowan Helton Bailey of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; his siblings, Linda Walleker of Winter Park, Florida, John Hornbeek (Nancy) of Orlando, Florida and Glenn Hornbeek (Judy) of Naples, Florida; his sister-in-law Rosetta Bass of Nashville; his grandson-in-law Curtis Michael Gray II; and also, Darren Dobbins, Adam Fuller, Lance Phillips, Chris Stovenour and P. Michael Tansil. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home (820 S Church St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens (5350 NW Broad St, Murfreesboro, TN 37129).
