It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Gale Schmidt of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on July 2, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father James Douglas Schmidt; his wife Sharon A. Manus Schmidt; and his sister Sandra K. Schmidt. He is survived by: his mother Rosetta Lucy Reeves Schmidt of Smyrna; his siblings, Jackie Turner of Murfreesboro and Jimmy Schmidt (Angela) of Smyrna; his stepson Barry E. Rogers (Cleo); and his sisters-in-law, Karen Reeves of Murfreesboro, Sandra Robinson (Gerald) of Murfreesboro and Pam Brewer of Murfreesboro. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
