He was predeceased by: his former wife Geneva H. Hoover; his children, Freddie M. Hoover, Eddie S. Hoover and Sharon E. Hoover; his parents, Walter Sr. Hoover and Iree Tucker Hoover; and his siblings, John D. Hoover, Reba Lewis, Idella Carver and Virginia Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Ann Hoover; his daughter Dottie A. Parker; and his sister Donna Sue Hoover. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
