He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Collins and Estal Collins; his foster parents, James Loftin and Lucille Loftin; and his brother Hugh Collins.
He is survived by: his close friend Deborah Gill Miller; his sisters, Nina Jones (Ronnie) of Kingsport, TN, Mary Shortt (Charles) of Kingsport, TN and Jo McDavid of Kingsport, TN; and his siblings' children, Dr. Elizabeth Snyder, Rachel Jones, Katherine Collins, Dr. Tiffany Owen, Christopher McDavid and Price Collins.
