With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Annette Eskind of Nashville, Tennessee, born in Boston, Massachusetts, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Annette left this world on July 13, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Schaffer and Dorothy Schaffer; her brothers, Dr. Joseph Schaffer (Edith) of Boston and Stanley Schaffer of Boston; and her husband Irwin Eskind, MD.
She is survived by: her sons, Steven Eskind MD (Laurie) and Jeffrey Eskind MD (Donna); her grandchildren, Michael Eskind (Kristin), Julie Galbierz (Megan) of David Eskind, MD, Matthew Eskind (Caroline MD) and Sara Eskind; and her sibling's children, Jonathan Schaffer (Elaine Shaver), Ellen Eskind Lehman and William Eskind.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Temple Congregation Ohabai Sholom (5015 Harding Pike, Nashville, TN 37205). Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Home of Annette Eskind (541 Jackson Blvd, Nashville, TN 37205). A shiva was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
