She was predeceased by: her husband John Lewis Patton; her son Joseph Leon Carney; and her brother Thomas A. Carney. She is survived by: her daughter Claudia (John Brent); her grandchildren, Shalonda (Christopher), Jason (Gwendolyn), Jennifer (Micah) and Jonathan; and her siblings, Andrew, Jr. (Annie Jean), Carl, Sr. (Monice), David, Sr. (Prescillia), Mildred Joyce and Ronald. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
