He was predeceased by: his wife Chris; his mother Minnie Simmons (Glasgow); and his children, Michael Clayton and Kayleen Marie. He is survived by: his sons, Ken Turner (Pam) and Karl Turner (Robin); his granddaughters, Megan Turner, Chelsea Toft (Bill), Lindsey Kocak (Ted) and Kristin Turner; his great grandchildren, Lainey Toft, Beau Toft and Toby Kocak; and his siblings, Frank Simmons (Debbie) and Susie Miles.
In lieu of flowers, family asks for donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, who John donated to for many years, with veterans holding a special place in his heart.
