It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara J. Scales of Nashville, Tennessee, who passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank James Ogilvie and Minnie Mary Anderson Ogilvie; her son Willie Scales III (Dot); her grandsons, Terrance Scales and Brandon Scales; and her siblings, George Ogilvie, Frank James Ogilvie and Clara Leach.

She is survived by: her children, Brian Scales (Cynthia), Sharon Massey (Fenton) and Dennis Scales (Mi Hui); her sister Betty Faye Scales; her sisters-in-law, Mary Ogilvie and Marie Ogilvie; her grandchildren, Kimberly Scales, Brigette Franklin-Massey, Jessica Hollis, Brian Scales Jr., Parmer Scales and Samantha Scales; and her daughter-in-law Dorothy "Dot" Scales. She is also survived by six great grandchildren; six nieces and nephews.
