He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Marion Ray Brooks and William Thomas Brooks; and his sisters, Eva Lee Hardin and Jane Brooks Gaddis. He is survived by: his wife Diana Dee Brooks; his sons, Dave Brooks (Jennifer) and Guy Brooks (Nikki); and his grandchildren, Emily Brooks Steward (Troy), Kara Brooks, Morgan Brooks and Mason Brooks.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home (660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
