We announce the death of Byron Alexander Smith Sr. (Nashville, Tennessee), who passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy T. Smith and Cora Lee Allen Smith. He is survived by: his wife Martha C. Smith; his son Byron Alexander Smith, Jr. (Kimberly Sears Smith); his grandchildren, Aidan M. Parham and Zoe Elaine Smith; his nieces and nephews, Willis T. Cater, Steve A. Hathaway, II, Stephny Hathaway-Whitney and Marnesa Cunningham; Tiffany Richmond and Ryan Morrison.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Terrell Broady Funeral Home, Inc. (3855 Clarksville Pike, Nashville, TN 37218). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN 37221).
