It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Winfrey Anthony of Nashville, Tennessee, born in Somerville, Tennessee, who passed away on July 4, 2023, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Winfrey and Annie Winfrey; and her siblings, Jesse Winfrey, Jr., James Winfrey and Augusta Winfrey.
She is survived by: her husband William R. Anthony; her sons, Attorney Brian C. Winfrey, William R. Anthony II, Brandon Anthony and Torrance Anthony; her siblings, Dorothy Harrison (Rodney), Wardine Couch (Larry), Gwendolyn Dunlap (Junell), Janice, David Winfrey (Annie), T. J. Winfrey, Benjamin Winfrey and Kenneth Winfrey; her sister-in-law Margaret J. Winfrey; and her friend Beverly Moss Brown. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives.
