He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Cowden Nielsen and Einer Nielsen of Nashville; and his brother Dale Nielsen. He is survived by: his wife Britton Hassell Nielsen; his daughters, Britt Nielsen Anderson (Bill), Marguerite Nielsen Orndorff (Kevin) and Noni Nielsen; and his grandchildren, Mary Britton Anderson Hite (George), Nealy Anderson, Norris Orndorff, Lain Orndorff and Georgia Orndorff. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
