He was predeceased by: his parents, June Lyle and J. T. Lyle; his daughter Melissa Williams; and his sister Janine Lyle. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Sullivan (Jon), Shannon Britt (Jody), Angela Lyle (Caleb) and Nick Newsam; his stepdaughter Stephanie Saffer (James); his grandchildren, Tyler, Shana, Andrew, Rylan, Chloe, Blaine, Collin, Tayler, Reece, Aidan, Asher, Cameron and Taliya; his great grandchildren, Mary Claire, Lillian, Josie and Julius; and his siblings, Patti Wiedman (Jim) and Tom Lyle (RiDawn). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel (5852 Nolensville Pk, Nashville, TN 37211). A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
