He is survived by: his wife Sherrell Johnson-Batey; his children, Toney Covington (Lorita), Emmanuel Batey and Shalonda Batey; his pet Ozzie; his siblings, Joseph Batey (Rosemary), Maxine Anderson and Priscilla Talley; his grandchildren, Joseph (Aerial), Samson, Bertram, ShanToneya, Toney Jr., Bryan, Isaiah, Zyon, Jaxson, Emma and Emagine; and his friends, Billy, Regina Knott of Missouri, Minister Charles Dean and Nathaniel "Nate" Ferguson. He is also survived by his 22 great-grandchildren, his nieces, nephews, other relatives.
