She is survived by: her children, Jermaine L. Knight Sr. Shirley Knight (Essence Knight), Kerry Couch, William Couch (LaQuitta Couch), Courtney Couch and Quintin Couch; her sister Sunsiarai R. Couch; her aunt Sarah Culp; and her friend Buford Johnson. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
