He was predeceased by: his wife Betty; his daughters, Cathy Hampton and Diane Ellis; and his parents, Frank Landers and Katherine Landers.

He is survived by: his children, David Wayne Birdwell (Luanne), Cynthia Strong (Terry Grave), Elizabeth Clark and Jeannie Landers; and his grandchildren, Mike Whittenburg, Angie Grove, Todd Clark and Tony Clark. He is also survived by great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
