She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances Dudley Brown and William Charles Foskett Brown; her grandparents, Clara Golde Foskett Brown and Charles Sumner Brown; her former husband Walter McNairy Morgan, Jr.; and her husband John Warner White.
She is survived by: her sons, Walter McNairy Morgan III and William Dudley Morgan (Lisa); her grandchildren, Charles Houston Morgan (Amy), Katherine Dudley Morgan, Elizabeth McKay Morgan Coode (Christopher), John Carver Morgan (Lauren), Margaret Sumner Morgan Smith (Brian) and Nan Wallace Morgan LoParco (Matt); her stepchildren, Margaret White Ratcliff, Elizabeth White McDonald, John Warner White, Jr. (Brenda) and Govan Davidson White (Barby); her stepgrandchildren, Garrett Bateman Ratcliff (Krista), Margaret Lindsley Ratcliff, Hunter McDonald IV (Vicki), John White McDonald (Annalisa), Margaret Lindsley White Viola (Joey), Govan Davidson White, Jr. and Richard Warner White; her nephew Gordon Powell Publow; her niece Jinksie Publow Harris; and her goddaughter Catherine Robinson Eberle. She is also survived by great grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the St George's Episcopal Church (4715 Harding Pike, Nashville, TN 37205). A committal service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mt Olivet Cemetery (1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37210).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Linville Foundation (employee education scholarship fund, P.O. Box 99, Linville, NC 28646), Cheekwood (Walter M. Morgan, Jr. Greenhouse), The Harpeth Hall School or Vanderbilt University.
