It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eugene David Lockyear in Nashville, Tennessee, born in Evansville, Indiana, who passed away on March 17, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Lockyear and Alvera Lockyear; and his son David Wells Lockyear. He is survived by: his wife Shayron McLemore Lockyear; his daughter Gina Lockyear Russell (Emmett, IV); his grandchildren, Sabrina, Hawkins and Ruby Mae; and his brother-in-law Paul McLemore. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers his family asks that donations be made to the Nashville Humane Association or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
