He is survived by: his wife Joy Sue Blevins Sullivan; his sister Angela Sullivan Anderson of Alpharetta, Georgia.; his sons, Gerald Eugene Sullivan II (Sara Cohron Sullivan) of Cumming, Georgia and Ralph Thomas (Sullivan); and his grandchildren, Elsie Margaret (Sullivan), Joy Elizabeth (Sullivan) and Gerald Eugene (Sullivan III). He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
