He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nelson Sr. Fowler and Maggie Fowler; his wife Mary L. Fowler; his children, Lisa Matchem (DJ), Yolanda Fowler, LaToya Stone, Ashli Leavell (Martelle), Donnie Coleman (Glendora), Marius Dismukes (Jamie) and Shamont Fowler; his siblings, Nelson Fowler (Genice), Lora Haston (LeBaron), Brenda Ford (Ronnie) and Phillip Fowler (Camille); his siblings-in-law, Earnest Hicks, Olivia Brown and Phillip Williams; his sister Carolyn Williams; and his former wives, Virginia Menzies and Mary Babb. He was also cherished by seven great-grandchildren.
