She was predeceased by: her husband Herman Batey; her son Jimmy Batey; and her grandson Brandon Batey. She is survived by: her daughter Melynda Sutton; her son-in-law Carlton Sutton; her grandchildren, Brandy Batey, Christopher Sutton, Trudy Parnell and Cindy Sutton; and her siblings, Ronnie White and Brenda Spangler.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ellis Funeral Home (2627 Nolensville Pk, Nashville, TN 37211).
