Julie Hendrix wrote a sympathy message

“I wasn't a close friend of Jim, but his family should know that his colleagues held him in the highest regard. His professional career is a legacy that will not be forgotten, and his patients all knew what an amazing physician he was, as did those of us at Heritage Medical Associates. I am proud to have known him from a distance and to have been one of his partners at HMA. If it weren't for him and a few others, I would not be leading the happy professional life that I am. Julie Hendrix, MD”

Waldo Floyd III wrote a sympathy message

“What a fine man and lifetime friend was Jim! As I told him often, I would not have made it into medical school without his advice and dragging me to the library when non academic temptations beckoned. I am thankful for his example and guidance. Memories of his humor, enthusiasm, and brilliance are cherished. I send my heartfelt condolences to Linda and the family. Waldo Floyd”
