He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lafayette and Myrtle Lucile Luna (Boyd); his sister Hazel Luna Graves; his niece Jill Graves Clyburn; and his grandson David Farra Dutton.

He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Martha Dutton (Billy) and Shelly Thomas (Neal); his grandchildren, Meredith Combs (Eric), Olivia Whiting (Chase) and James Dutton (Lauren); and his great grandchildren, Grey Combs, Knox Combs and Baby Whiting. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
