He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Simmons and Gladys Simmons; and his wife Glenda Simmons. He is survived by: his children, James R. Simmons, David Simmons (Elle) and Donna Gosnell (Mike); his grandchildren, Chelsea Lauren Gosnell, Justin Gosnell (Lauren) and Evangeline Simmons; his great grandchildren, Abigail Grace Gosnell, Lila-Kate Gosnell, Leighton Dawn Gosnell and Anna Marie Gosnell; and his nephews, Otto Toth (Kerri), John Toth (Lea) and Johnny Carter (Pam).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to your favorite charity in James's memory.
