It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Perry Fields of Nashville, Tennessee, who passed away on February 28, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. As James Perry departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved James Perry. Though James Perry may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Frances Fields (Goff) and John Galloway Fields; his wife Linda Hensley Fields; and his grandson Isaac Walden Harness. He is survived by: his children, Timothy Austin Fields (Jo) of Nashville, TN and Amy Elizabeth Fields Buxton (Patrick) of Lawrenceburg, KY; his grandchildren, Kelsey Fields Caddell (Corey) of Nashville, TN, Jesse Robert Harness of Knoxville, TN and Stephan Perry Harness (Hannah); and his great grandchild Vivian Anne Harness of Coventry, RI.
