She was predeceased by: her parents, Dave Payne and Beulah Randolph Payne; her former husband J. D. Henley Jr.; her husband Royce McGowan; her daughters, Gail Henley Davis and Susan Henley Simpson; and her brothers, David Payne and Gordon Payne.
She is survived by: her brother Bob Payne; her sister-in-law Peggy Payne; her son-in-law James Wilson Davis Jr.; her stepdaughter Linda McGowan Beckham; her grandchildren, Scott Beckham (Kelly), John David Bass (Tanya), Jennifer Beckham, Rachel Davis Deppisch (Rich), Ryan Simpson (Shanna), Amanda Teasley (Eric), Allison Davis and James Wilson Davis III (Amanda); J. C., Jacob, Leah, Luke, Sophie, Lilly, Andrew, Maxwell, Henley Kate, Jackson and JD. She is also survived by her daughters, granddaughters, and great-granddaughters.
