She was predeceased by: her husband Jerry Dale McGuire; and her parents, Ruth Genevieve Boone and Gladdin Gourin Boone Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Candra McGuire Rogers (Cole); her stepson John McGuire (Sophie); her grandchildren, Hudson Vinett, Keira Rogers, Nora Rogers, Amelia Rogers and Michelangelo Durbano; and her sisters, Diane Love and Joy Robertson.
In lieu of flowers, a Go Fund Me has been created for contributions towards final medical expenses from Joan's brave 13 month battle and to alleviate additional funeral costs.
