He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Carpenter, Sr. and Vivian Woodrow Carpenter; his brothers, William F. Carpenter, Jr. and Dr. Richard W. Carpenter; and his grandson Luke Elliott.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Sipe; his daughters, Beth Carpenter (Randy Herron), Alison Bueschen (Tony) and Cathy Johnson (Jerry); his grandchildren, Matt Cooksey (Sara), Lauren Cooksey, Will Elliott (Ella), Grace Speers, Max Speers and Halle Johnson; and his great grandchild Cole Cooksey.
