He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Micajah Boyd, Sr. and Lucile New Boyd; his former wife Mary Olert Boyd; and his son Col. Andrew Martin Boyd (U. S. Army). He is survived by: his son Cmdr; his wife Sabrina; his grandchildren, Daniel of Shalimar, Florida and Sarah Boyd of Shalimar, Florida; his daughter Martha Boyd (Richard Littlehale); his granddaughter Alice Littlehale; and his daughter-in-law Colleen Quinn of Springfield, Missouri..
