He was predeceased by: his parents, Nina Elizabeth Norman and JD Norman, Sr.; and his siblings, Barbara Haynes (Joe) and JD Norman Jr. (Pat). He is survived by: his children, Robert Norman Jr. (Lisa Gunter) and Amy Norman; and his grandchildren, McKenzie Norman and Kennedy Maxey (Joseph). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

“I was so sorry to learn of the death of Kenny, Aunt Nina's and Uncle J.D.'s only surviving child. I wanted to come to the visitation or funeral but at age 94 and the caregiver for my 96 year old husband, I was not able to make it. Aunt Nina and Uncle J.D were two of my favorite aunts and uncles. They were always there to help my mother and father, Lela and Prator Hardin, and were always an encouragement to me during my high school years. You have my sympathy and as I said, I Evelyn Hardin Cole”
