With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marcelle Hillis Heathcock of Nashville, Tennessee, born in Morrison, Tennessee, who passed away on February 14, 2026 at the age of 97. Though Marcelle may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Marcelle touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wardie Bess and Thomas L. Hillis; her husband Joe Heathcock; her son Clay Heathcock; and her sister Armelia Ann Puryear.
She is survived by: her nephew Michael R Hagans of Mount Juliet, TN; and her cousins, Josephine Ruffer of Bulls Gap, TN and Frances Baird of Hendersonville, TN.
