She was predeceased by: her parents, James Douglas Jr. and Mary Nell Burchard (Wherry); her husband Marvin Edward Carter Sr.; her children, Alisa Cardin and Marvin "Chip" Edward Carter Jr.; and her sons-in-law, Jackie Broadrick and Steve Cardin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sheryl Gentry (Wayne) and Sylvia Broadrick; her grandchildren, Jonah Gentry (Tara), Joshua Gentry (Brittany), Jason Broadrick (Sola), Jordan Raymond (Clifford "Cliff"), Nick Kincaid (Blake), Caitlin Wilson (Michael), Kelsie Carter (Jeremy Wade) and Austin Carter; and her great grandchildren, Gracie, Emma, Abel, Athan, Ava, Chad Gentry, Evelyn, Ruby, Adeline Raymond, Eliana, Aleiah Broadrick, Cohen, Tallulah Kincaid, Jeston, Cora Rigsby and Carter Wade.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Et Spring Hill Funeral Home (5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
