She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Young and Burton Young; and her brother Burton Young. She is survived by: her husband Desmond Carter; her children, Vikki Carter and Jimmy Carter (Sunshine); her granddaughter Gloria Carter; and her sister Gloria Shockney.
