With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nelson Edward Shankle of Nashville, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 27, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, C. B. Shankle and Nell Lett Shankle; his stepmother Mary Francis Lemon; his brothers, George and Bob Shankle; his wife Ann Caldwell; his sons, John (Louanne) and Steven (Mary Jo); his grandchildren, Sarah, Madison, Ryan (Elizabeth) and Ben; and his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Lillie and Madeline.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or Calvary United Methodist Church.
