He was predeceased by: his parents, William Timothy and Grace Marsh McSweeney; his siblings, Bobbie Jean McSweeney, Joan Patrice McSweeney, Elizabeth McSweeney Hutton, William "Bill" McSweeney (Nancy Husk) and James Daniel McSweeney; his brother-in-law Forrest Wayne Crawford; his nephew Kevin Hutton; and his wife Eva Ackiss McSweeney of Nashville, TN.

He is survived by: his stepdaughter Carol Dann (Michael) of McMinnville, TN; his sister Sheila Anne Crawford of Northridge, CA; his sister-in-law Linda McSweeney; his sibling's children, Janet Crawford Simons (Charles), Cynthia Sue Crawford, Apryl Crawford Skyes, Steven Hutton, Edward Hutton, Robin Smith and Leonard Hutton; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Patrick Timothy McSweeney Simons, Charles Allen Simons, Caitlin Simons Hawkins, Rebekah Romero and Katie Romero. He is also survived by eleven great-grand nieces and great-grand nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the High's Chapel (101 College St, McMinnville, TN 37110). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
