We announce the death of Robert Adger Addis (Nashville, Tennessee), who passed away on September 5, 2026, at the age of 71. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Robert will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Robert will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Robert’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Addis and Geneva Addis; his wife Debbie; his children, Ashley Doyle (Matt) and Thomas Smith; his granddaughters, Piper and Hadley Smith; and his brother Steve Addis (Amii).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hermitage Funeral Home (535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
