He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Blackmer and Ida Ludwig; his wife Barbara Blackmer; his son Mike Blackmer; and his siblings, Richard Blackmer, Janice Gilmer and Patricia Woodcock.
He is survived by: his daughter Judy Lowe; his grandchildren, Chris Lowe (Demi), Emily Weaver (Brent) and Craig Blackmer; and his great grandchildren, Logan Lowe, Adelyn Lowe, Isabelle Blackmer, Brecken Blackmer, Brantley Weaver, Baylee Weaver and Boone Weaver.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens (9090 TN-100, Nashville, TN 37221). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Bellevue Masonic Lodge in Robert's memory.
