He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar "Buddy" and Wilma Ruth Duncan Chitwood; and his brothers, Eddie and David Chitwood. He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Chitwood (Shallen) and Greg Chitwood; his siblings, Marty Chitwood, Bari Brown (Mark) and Pam Compton (Avery); and the mother of his children Verna Hood. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
