He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rogan Covington, Jr. and Willie Mai Hargis Covington; and his siblings, Larry David Covington and Beverly Jo Cunningham. He is survived by: his children, Heather McCoy (Brent) of Greenbrier, TN and Ronnie Eugene Covington, Jr. of Nashville, TN; his brother Mark Covington (Sandy) of Dickson, TN; his grandchildren, Ana Kennon (Gregory) and Ashton Gill; and his stepgrandchildren, Thomas "TJ" McCoy (Bre), Hunter McCoy, Haley McCoy and Zarchery McCoy. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
