He was predeceased by: his parents, James Poplin and Alice Marie Rushing Burns; and his parents-in-law, Jerry Williams and Alice Parker. He is survived by: his wife Allison Williams Burns; his son Tyler James Burns; his siblings, Pamela Marie Burns, Sandra Jane Provow (Tom), Penelope Ann Ward (Donny) and James William Burns (Maribeth); his sister-in-law Kelly Ruff (Gary); and his stepmother-in-law Freida Williams.
