It is with sadness that the passing of Sarah Griggs of Nashville, Tennessee is shared. Sarah, born on September 17, 1941, passed away on July 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyn Minor Holland and William Cecil Holland; her husband Thomas Hawkins "Tom" Griggs; her brothers, Wayne Holland, Thomas Allen "Jimmy" Holland and Joe D. Holland; her sisters-in-law, Janet Holland, Anneva Holland and Barbara Holland; and her nephew Timothy Holland.
She is survived by: her daughter Ellen DeFoor (Mark) of Gainesville, GA; her stepson Patterson "Pat" Griggs of Micanopy, FL; her grandchildren, Morgan Griggs (McCall) of Gainesville, FL, Mikalyn DeFoor of Vail, CO, Dallas DeFoor (Gisela) of Houston, TX and Fraser Griggs of Micanopy, FL; and her brother Cecil Ray Holland of Ardmore, TN. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
