She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph "Joe" Langhum and Kanellar "Nella" Langhum (King); her grandchildren, Andunett, Jared, Nyshika, Autumn, Mandela, Indira and Josiah; her great grandchild Jocelyn; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Fields (family: Shirley T. Matthews); her husband Reverend Clarence A. Matthews Jr.; and her daughter Teri Lynn Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Dwight and Samuel Langhum. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Smith Brothers Funeral Home (706 Monroe St, Nashville, TN 37208). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel Temple (119 Center St, Old Hickory, TN 37138). A burial will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Middle Tn Veteran Cemetery (7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN 37221).
