He is survived by: his wife Linda West Harlan; his siblings, Howard Harlan (Linda) and Susan Harlan; his nephew Lee Harlan (Kathryn); his niece Eleanor "Ellie" Suzanne Harlan; his great-niece Madeline "Maddie" Eleanor Lillard (Mark); his great-nephew Charles "Charlie" Matthew Harlan; his nephew Cyrus Conrad Erickson III; his great-niece Abigail Mackenzie Erickson; and his great-nephews, Houston Porter and Colton West Erickson.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hillwood Country Club (6201 Hickory Valley Rd, Nashville, TN 37205).

In lieu of flowers the family would be grateful for any memorials to be given in Steve's name to the Harpeth Conservancy.
