She was predeceased by: her parents, William Allen and Mary Edith McWhirter; her son Larry Wayne Fenters; and her siblings, Charles Edward McWhirter, William Allen "Bill" McWhirter, Jr. and Dorothy Curtis.
She is survived by: her children, Louis Fenters, Jr., Richard Lee Fenters and Rachel Darlean Ranellucci; her grandchildren, Louis Fenters III, Larry Lee Savage II (Becky), Lacey Cheree Reynolds (Carl) and Felicia Valleana Ranellucci (Cary); and her great grandchildren, Lucas Reynolds, Maggie Savage, Zac Savage, Alex Savage and Mary Adah Justice. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Donations may be made in Val's memory to the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
