He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Daniel James Cumming and Anne Shannon Preston Cumming; and his sisters, Shannon McCormick and Margaret Linton. He is survived by: his siblings, Sarah Stokes Mitchell (Stokie), Bob and Fairman Cumming; his wife Janice; his children, Lisa Young (Randy) of Bellevue, TN, Dr. Preston Cumming of Boulder, CO, Daniel Cumming (Allison) of Murfreesboro, TN and Mary Kim Harp (Matthew) of Bentonville, AR.; and his grandchildren, Rylee, Emma, Elle, Landon, Ronin, Liam, Ophelia, Wyatt and Poppy.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to some of William and Janice's favorite organizations: Glen Leven Presbyterian Church, National Public Radio, and Alive Hospice.
